Kandy is the heart of Sri Lanka 💚

Located in the central hills of Sri Lanka, Kandy is a special place where natural beauty, history and culture come together. Also known as the “Heart of Sri Lanka”, Kandy is a perennial attraction for local and foreign tourists. Sri Dalada Maligawa

The main attraction of the city is the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic. This is a sacred place that protects the tooth relic of the Buddha. Every day, lakhs of devotees come here to seek religious blessings.

Kandy Lake

Kandy Lake is a beautiful lake located in the center of the city of Kandy. Walking around the lake in the evening feels good.

Esala Perahera

The biggest festival that has made the city famous is the Kandy Esala Perahera. During this festival, dancers in fancy dresses, floats, fireballs, and beautifully decorated elephants come together to provide a magnificent spectacle. Beautiful dances can be seen here.  The majority of the dancers here are dancers.

Natural beauty

The mountains, forests and breathtaking surroundings surrounding the city are very special. Places like Udawattakele Forest Reserve are the best place for nature lovers.
