My favorite place

 


My favorite place is the Ruwanweli Maha Seya. It is difficult to put into words the peace I feel when I go there. The worries, problems and sorrows of daily life are slowly forgotten when I go there.

I especially like to go to the Maha Seya in the evening and sit quietly for a long time and look at the Seya. At that time, I feel a strange peace when I see the Seya shining with the light of the lamps. That view is very beautiful.

When I am in that place, I feel like the Buddha is alive. That feeling brings me an extremely deep peace. No matter how much sorrow, worry and problems I have in my heart, all of them slowly disappear when I go there.

There for, the Ruwanweli Maha Seya is not a simple place for me; it is a special place where my mind is calmed, soothed and renewed.
